Cum pronuntam in Engleza consoanele TH?

Astazi, invatam cum se pronunta TH in Engleza. Este o lectie foarte importanta pentru toti cei care vor sa invete sa pronunte foarte bine ”th”, cele doua consoane atat de cunoscute.

Totusi, vei putea invata sa pronunti aceste sunete, urmand instructiunile pe care ti le voi prezenta mai jos.

TH se pronunta in doua feluri, in functie de cuvantul in care apare. In ambele, situatii, modul in care tinem limba fata de dinti este secretul pentru a produce sunetul corect.

Cum se pronunta TH in Engleza – sunet vocal – The voiced TH sound

In cuvintele de mai jos, ”TH” se pronunta din gat, cu vocea. Este o combinatie de D si V care rezulta in /ð/.

Aceasta este transcrierea fonetica a sunetului produs prin combinatia lui T si H. /ð/ sau asa θ, in functie de cuvantul in care apare.

TH la inceputul cuvintelor de structura

”TH”, pronuntat, /ð/, apare la inceputul unor cuvinte de structura. Le numim asa pentru ca au rol in constructia propozitiei.

Sensul lor este important doar impreuna cu alte cuvinte care construiesc propozitia in care apar.

The /ðə,ðɪ,ðiː/

Articolul hotarat ”the”, se pronunta intotdeauna din gat, cu vocea, tinand limba apropiata de dintii de sus. Se produce o vibratie care incepe din gat.

Atentie!

• Inaintea cuvintelor care incep cu o consoana, ”the’‘ se pronunta /ðə/.
• Inaintea cuvintelor care incep cu o vocala, ”the’‘ se pronunta /ðɪ/.

Pronume personal They /ðeɪ/, Them /ðem/

• Pronumele personal: They /ðeɪ/ . Ei, Ele.
• Pronumele personal: Them /ðem/ /ðəm/  ex.

With them, about them, on them, from them, in them, under them, over them, above them  (cu, despre, pe, de la, in, sub, peste ei)

• They see me. Ei ma vad pe mine.
• I see them. Ii vad pe ei.
• I work with them. Lucrez cu ei.
• We are talking about them. Vorbim despre ei.
• We buy books from them.

Pronumele si adjectivul demonstrativ:

Folosim ”this, that, these, those” ca pronume dar si ca adjectiv.

• This /ðɪs/ This is my house. Aceasta este casa mea.
• These /ðiːz/ These are my books. Acestea sunt cartile mele.
• That /ðæt/ That is your bike. Aceea este bicicleta ta.
• Those /ðəʊz/ Those are his dogs. Aceia sunt cainii lui.

Cand sta inaintea unui substantiv, spunem ca este adjectiv.

• This house is huge. Aceasta casa este uriasa.

Adverbul de loc There /ðeər/

• Look at the dog over there! Uite-te la acel caine  acolo.

Then /ðen/ apoi, atunci . Este acelasi lucru cu ”at that time” .

• Then, I saw them there. Apoi, i-am vazut acolo.
• They were together then. Erau impreuna atunci.

Than/ðæn/ decat

• He is smarter than his friend. El este mai destept decat prietenul sau.

Cum se pronunta TH in Engleza, la mijlocul cuvantului?

Aceste cuvinte sunt foarte des intalnite in limba Engleza. Le folosim, aproape tot timpul pentru ca au rol in structura propozitiei.

TH, pronuntat din gat, poate fi intalnit si la mijlocul unor cuvinte precum:

• bother /ˈbɒð.ər/ verb- a deranja
• worthy /ˈwɜː.ði/ adjectiv – demn de, care merita
• mother /ˈmʌð.ər/ substantiv – mama
• father /ˈfɑː.ðər/ substantiv – tata
• farther /ˈfɑː.ðər/ adverb – grad de comparatie – mai departe
• together /təˈɡeð.ər/ adverb – impreuna
• weather /weð.ər/ substantiv – vreme
• whether /weð.ər/ conjunctie – daca

We cand find the voiced TH at the end of words if they end in E:

• Bathe/beɪð/ – a face baie
• breathe /briːð/ -verb a respira

Se pronunta diferit fata de ”breath”. A nu se confunda cu subtantivul care face parte din aceeasi familie lexicala:

• breath /breθ/ substantiv – respiratie

Exceptii:

Desigur, avem si exceptii:

• smooth/smuːð/ – neted, a netezi
• clothes/kləʊðz/ – haine

Provine din subtantivul cloth /klɒθ/ (panza) care se pronunta diferit)

”Clothes” provine de la cuvantul cloth/klɒθ/ care inseamna panza.

”TH” pronuntat cu dintii si limba – The unvoiced TH sound

The unvoiced TH sound is usually at the beginning of words.

θ este sunetul pronunta in partea frontala a cavitatii bucale.

• Thick /θɪk/  adjectiv – gros, des, dens,
• Think /θɪŋk/ verb a (se) gandi
• Thing /θɪŋ/ substantiv – lucru
• Thirst /θɜːst/ substantiv  – sete
• Thirsty /ˈθəːsti/  adjectiv – insetat
• Theory /ˈθɪə.ri/ substantiv – teorie
• Thank you /θæŋk juː/ formula de politete – Multumesc, Iti multumesc.

We can also find the unvoice ”TH” in the middle of words, before a consonant sound.

Sunetul corespondent literelor ”TH” poate fi gasit si la mijlocul cuvantului. Ex.
